Susan Connolly makes paintings and large-scale installations. Her work explores the notion of uncertainty in painting and its ability to remain relevant in our digital age. The work references the history of abstract art and reflects on and challenges the medium itself. The idea of painting thus becomes the subject, content, and media all at the same time resulting in artworks that visually bring together traces of the work's process and methods of production.
