JOHN Macormac'S WORK EXPLORES PATTERN AND RHYTHM THROUGH EXPLORING MATHEMATICS, GEOMETRY, STRUCTURE AND ENVIRONMENT. HIS PRACTICE IS PROCESS-LED, RIGOROUS, REPETITIVE, SYSTEMATIC AND LABOUR INTENSIVE AND HIS WORKS CAREFULLY CONSIDER FACTORS SUCH AS TIME, ACTION, CHOICE AND HUMAN AGENCY. DRAWING IS INTEGRAL TO HOW HE WORKS AND HIS EXHIBITIONS COMBINE DENSELY WORKED DRAWINGS THAT INVITE CLOSE EXAMINATION ALONGSIDE SCULPTURAL OBJECTS CHOSEN FOR THEIR SHAPE OR PURPOSE, OR SPECIALLY CONSTRUCTED FORMS THAT HE HAS MADE.
